Frequently Asked Questions
If our school can’t get to the Schools’ Performance, can we book for another date?
Depending on availability, and the age suitability of a work, school groups are more than welcome to book tickets to general public performances. Email us, and we will let you know about our current program.
Does Bangarra offer workshops in schools?
As part of our commitment to sharing our stories and cultures with communities across the country, we deliver workshops to communities in regional and remote areas of the country on our Regional Tour. As a small company, we are unable to facilitate private workshops for schools on an on-demand basis, throughout the year.
Can we perform Bangarra repertoire at school?
Students may study the work of Bangarra through our online resources and other reliable sources, however this does not include the learning and/or performance of Bangarra repertoire. All of Bangarra’s works are protected by copyright and therefore it is neither legal nor appropriate to use content for any performance/event or any type of public display. Our works are also subject to our agreement with traditional owners in relation to cultural rights. We are bound to respect these rights and practice our duty of care for the cultural content that inspires our works.
Can I do work experience at Bangarra?
Bangarra offers a limited number of work experience and secondment opportunities in addition to fellowships and traineeships. For more information, please visit our Work With Us and Fellowships & Traineeships pages.
Can I visit the studio?
Due to our busy production, rehearsal and touring schedule we are not able to facilitate visits to our studio spaces.
Do you have a Child Safety policy?
Please read our Child Safety Statement. We are committed to the safety and well-being of children by creating and maintaining a child safe organisation, where children are protected from all types of abuse and/or trauma. Our commitment to Child Safety extends to creating and maintaining a culturally safe space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
